FAQ For Renters

How do I make a payment and what type of payment is accepted?

Once you're ready to request a rental, you must fill out the day/time of the booking and proceed by clicking "Request To Book". Once clicked, you'll be asked to enter your debit or credit card details. Here are the payment methods we accept:

  • Visa (Credit & Debit)
  • Mastercard (Credit & Debit)
  • American Express

Does Eqpme offer insurance?

No, Eqpme does not offer insurance for your rental. Eqpme does not offer insurance nor do we verify the existence or adequacy of any insurance purported to be in place by either the Owner or Renter.

Does Eqpme charge sales taxes?

Yes and No.

Eqpme does not charge tax on your rental. Owners are responsible to incorporate any taxes payable within their rental listing(s). The price an Owner sets on the Marketplace is the price including any applicable taxes payable thereon by the Renter. Eqpme does charge HST on Service Fees charged to Owners and Renters using the Marketplace. These taxes will show up on all invoices provided and will be itemized for ease of reference.

Does Eqpme offer transportation?

To ensure a seamless experience, Eqpme requires the Owner and Renter to determine how transportation will be dealt with as between themselves. Eqpme is not involved in the provision of or arrangement of transportation and pickup for any rentals.

What happens if a piece of equipment is returned with less fuel than was provided by the Owner?

If a machine is returned with less fuel than that which was provided by the Owner then the Renter shall be obligated to pay to the Owner, through Eqpme, an additional charge to compensate for the lack of fuel. Any additional charges will be calculated in accordance with the fuel per litre price set out in the listing by the amount of litres necessary to match the pre inspection fuel confirmation.

What if I need to cancel because of an emergency or unavoidable circumstance?

If you need to cancel due to an emergency or unavoidable circumstance, you must contact the Owner immediately. The Owner & Renter can work out a cancellation on their own behalf. Eqpme follows our Cancellation policy very fairly for both parties. Please review our cancellation policy to better education yourself.

What happen if an Owner doesnt accept a Request To Book?

When a Renter requests a piece of equipment to be booked, the Owner has 24 hours to accept the “Request To Book” or it will expire and no longer be active.

What If the Owner or Renter Does Not Show Up?

If an Owner does not follow the agreed confirmed & arranged reservation on the date and time, try to contact each other via email, phone or texting. If they don’t respond nor try to resolve the issue. If they’re still unresponsive, contact info@eqpme.com letting us know about the failed reservation. We will use the Eqpme Messaging Center to view the evidence. Based on the evident conversation, we can provide a 100% full refund within 7 business days to. Renters are not held responsible if the Owner does not show up.
